Side-by-Side Installations:

VERY IMPORTANT: Please note that AutoCAD 2002 software, including this Trial version, will overwrite AutoCAD® 2000i or AutoCAD® 2000 if installed on the same computer. However, AutoCAD 2002 can be installed side by side with earlier releases of AutoCAD, for example, AutoCAD® Release 14. AutoCAD 2002 also can be installed side by side with any version of AutoCAD-based, industry-specific products including Autodesk® Mechanical Desktop®, AutoCAD® Mechanical, Autodesk® Architectural Desktop, Autodesk® Land Desktop, or Autodesk® Map software.

To install this demo,

1. Close all open applications.
2. Insert CD into CD-ROM drive and follow on-screen instructions. 
   If setup program does not start automatically, go to step 3.
3. Choose Run from the Start menu.
4. Type d:\setup (where d is the CD-ROM drive).
5. Click OK or press Enter.
6. Follow on-screen instructions.

If you are planning to upgrade AutoCAD 2000i on a Windows 98 or Windows ME system, it is strongly recommended that you first uninstall AutoCAD 2000i before installing AutoCAD 2002. Failure to do so will leave an entry for AutoCAD 2000i in the Add/Remove programs list. If you have already upgraded AutoCAD 2000i to AutoCAD 2002 on a Windows 98 or Windows ME system, do not attempt to uninstall AutoCAD 2000i. Using the Add/Remove option to uninstall AutoCAD 2000i after upgrade will remove files needed by your AutoCAD 2002 installation, and a reinstall of AutoCAD 2002 will be required.
